Google is now a licensed ICANN registrar
Google is now a licensed ICANN registrar for top level domains (TLDs) including .com, .net, .org, .biz., info, .name and .pro
Does this mean the other low cost domain sellers are going to have one of the largest brands in the world going after their business?
The Netcraft article states that domain selling is a loss leader for hosting companies to sell their serving plans. So is Google going to give away free domains for running ads on a site? If so are there that many adword ads to keep paying for all this stuff? How will this tie into Blogger?
Look at ICANN’s home page. See which search engine is powering their site?
