Nintendo DS Lite Arriving in North America

With the Nintendo DS Lite arriving in North America in May (according to EGM, which seems to be the only source of the rumor) it may be a good idea to go over what is different from the regular DS.
- $130 US, about the same price as current system
- 42% smaller
- 20% lighter
- Start/Stop buttons moved from above the AB buttons to below
- Dpad is now smaller, similar to Nintendo Revolution controller’s size
- stylus is now larger and fits sideways
- microphone moved from bottom edge to center of system
- power button moved from above D-pad to right side of system
- redesigned top screen to fit in thinner top cover
- noticeably brighter screens with four brightness levels
- speaker grills changed slightly
- GBA cartridges stick out slightly from system now due to reduced size
- initial colors Ice Blue (pastel blue), Enamel Navy (dark navy) and Crystal White

- Battery life between 15 to 19 hours on lowest brightness to 5 to 8 on highest
